Hello AWANA Families,
I need to apologize for not getting out an email the last two week. As a back up to these weekly reminders, be sure to check the club website for the club calendar and specific club pages.
Cubbies and T&T
We are asking that all Awana children leave their toys and cell phones with mom or dad. Our desire is that the children are free to focus on the activities and lessons and building friendships during this hour and a half each week. Our T&Ters will have access to Bibles each week and will not need a digital Bible. Each club director has contact information for each of the children in their care, so if an emergency arises, we will be able to contact you. If you would like contact information for your child's club director, please request that from the director, who will be glad to give you that information.
Drop Off/Pick Up and Security Cards
As a reminder of our security process, please be sure to bring your Security Card with you. If one person drops off and another picks up, be sure to hand off the Security Card. As per our Child Safety Procedures, ANY and EVERY parent who does not have the card at pick up will be required to have their drivers license photocopied and your picture taken. We will also verify that the pick up person is listed as someone approved to pick up that child. These approved pick up adults should have been included on your annual Awana registration form. Please note that this will apply to ALL parents without a Security Card, even if your child's leader is a long time friend and knows you well. These guidelines are in place for the safety and welfare of all of our children. Thank you for understanding.
CCCS Harvest Party - October 31. This is a FREE event for everyone in the community. At 6:00 is a potluck meal. You are asked to provide a side dish, salad, or dessert. But come even if you do not have a food item to share. At 6:45 David Cain, a Juggler with 29 years experience, will provide the entertainment for the night. Costumes are welcome provided they do not include ghosts, witches, or violent themes.
Have a blessed week.
